Reasoning is the "How" and "Why". It is the connective tissue that proves your Assertion is logically sound. In the Arena, this is where you win the "Logical Consistency" tag. Your reasoning should follow a clear path: "If A is true, and B is true, then C must follow."
The Trap Example
"CLAIM: UBI is necessary. REASONING: As AI automates entry-level labor (A), the traditional path to employment vanishes (B). Without a safety net, the resulting wealth gap will collapse consumer demand (C)."
