Slippery Slope

The chain reaction

Asserting that a small step will lead to a chain of negative events.

The slippery slope is a logical fallacy where a party asserts that a relatively small first step leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant effect. It fails to prove that the chain is inevitable.

The Trap Example

""If we allow X, then Z will happen.""
