Steelmanning is the opposite of strawmanning. It is the practice of crafting the strongest possible version of your opponent's argument—sometimes even stronger than how they presented it—before you engage with it. By demonstrating that you fully understand and respect their core point, you build massive credibility with voters and are far more likely to trigger a Sway.
